What's this fucking comic about?
It's about a man and a pan. Also about a pan and a man. No, seriously, we're kidding folks, it's about the ghost of Ian Curtis (yes, the famous real life DEAD singer of Joy Division) and his adventures in the world of the living and his tour guide Mark E. Smith (from the Fall). But then again, if you're that curious, why don't you just read the comic instead?
When's it updated and how often?
Once a week. Also dependent on whether we have a lot of work or not. Also, we update whenever we want.
Who created this shit?
Longass essays coming ahead, so here goes nothing:
* Elaine "Len" Will was born July 3rd, 1985, in the parched, desert-like province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Her earliest memory is going to the babysitter's at age 2 and being frightened by a poster of Fred Penner on the wall. Since then, nothing has been quite the same.
Elaine loves music, and owns just a little over 200 albums. Her "first band" was the Canadian synth-pop outfit Men Without Hats. She is extremely disappointed that she did not discover New Order at age 5 as well. Her favorite bands nowadays are Joy Division/New Order, the Fall, Fugazi, Q And Not U, Les Savy Fav, Kitchens & Bathrooms, and Billy Childish/Thee Headcoats. The band that she is most embarrassed to admit she likes is Interpol.
Elaine learned how to draw cartoons by copying Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Her first ORIGINAL comic book longer than one page, New Edge issue #1, was "released" in the summer of 2002. These Days is the first comic she's drawn that has nothing to do with funny animals at all, and this is truly a wonderful thing.
* Roz "ACR" Kwan is the co-author of this joint. She kind of works out kinks in the script, the website, the way the thing is uploaded, etc. Her current profession is a student and also a professional loafer. She does not remember her age, sex or location, so don't ask.
Hobbies we know she does are math, photography, logic, drawing, drinking, thinking, and being stupid. She also likes listening to music.
Her favourite bands are The Chameleons, Mission of Burma, and New Order/Joy Division. Secondary favourites are Kitchens of Distinction, Jawbox, The Jesus and Mary Chain, R.E.M., Aztec Camera, Lloyd Cole, and whatever she has way too many albums of. Oh yeah, did we mention that she likes the Chameleons?
Other skills she has are screwing up computers, eating, sleeping, drinking, cooking, and doing other humanly things (you get the idea). That is all you need to know.
How do you create this shit?
Hello folks, here's the fine print:
These Days: An EPIC tale of GROTESQUE proportions.
By: R. Kwan and Elaine "Len" Will
Made with the help of: Caffeine, cheese, tomato juice, a computer, music, acidic typing paper, crappy Venus #2 pencils, drafting and gum erasers, Staedtler 005, Faber-Castell 01, Sharpie, Pigma Micron brushpen, burgandy Pigma Micron 05, boredom, weirdness, psychedelic voices in our heads, 1s and 0s, Peter Hook (um, how did he get here?), and too much time on our hands. Extra-special guest appearances by Liquid Paper.
Do you guys accept guest art?
Only if you make the guest art first.
